Qetaifan Projects announced the launch of the sales of the North plots

Qetaifan Projects announced Saturday the launch of the sales of the first phase of its mixed use and residential plots comprising towers and villas at the Qetaifan Island North. The plots are being offered at competitive prices, a statement from the company said.

Qetaifan Island North is Qetaifan Projects’ first project. It is a distinct island featuring a state-of-the-art water park, luxurious hotels, unrivaled accommodation, and world-class facilities that make it a modern, globally competitive master planned integrated community with a unique design that is inspired by the rich culture and nature of the region.

The Island’s location and its distinctive waterfront represent a new and exciting way of life that symbolises vision and future ambition, offering its residents an integrated living experience.

Qetaifan Island North, located off Lusail City, features seven beaches, which makes it the city’s distinct waterfront destination. The island spans approximately 1.3mn sq m with 830,000sq m of attractions.

At a press conference, Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, managing director of Qetaifan Projects and vice chairman of Katara Hospitality, said: “We are fortunate to be working on one of the most honourable national projects which in turn aims to serve various sectors of the country, such as tourism and real estate development, which will contribute effectively to Qatar National Vision 2030, especially as the country is witnessing a remarkable development in all sectors in the light of the 2022 World Cup preparations.”
He also said: “There is no doubt that the freehold law allowing ownership for non-Qataris on Qetaifan Island North will contribute to increasing opportunities for foreign investment in the real estate sector.

“As we believe in the need for concerted efforts between the state’s institutions, Qetaifan Projects has signed a number of agreements, including 17 memorandums of agreement with international tour operators aimed to activate tourism in the state of Qatar, in collaboration with Katara Hospitality, Qatar National Tourism Council, and Qatar Airways.”
Sheikh Nasser added: “We believe in the future of Qetaifan Island North, and we are working hard and sincerely to make the island a competitive touristic attraction with a new concept of living, where all the required amenities are at your fingertips, including a school and a medical centre, as well as a waterpark, considered as one of the most appealing attractions on the island, which will be operated by Rixos Hotels for the first time in Qatar, along with the Souq, hotels, and the beach club.”

Al Khaliji Commercial Bank (al khaliji) has joined the project as an ‘Official Partner’ providing a wide range of banking services to clients wanting to invest in Qetaifan Island North. al khaliji CEO Fahad al-Khalifa said: “We are proud to be the official partner of Qetaifan Projects, and we wish for the success of Qetaifan Island North, which will be a valuable addition to the Qatari real estate sector.”

Qetaifan Island North is designed to be Qatar’s future iconic destination with its unique elements and attractions that the whole family can enjoy starting with the waterpark inspired by the Qatari culture and the production of oil and gas, operated by Rixos.
It also includes diversified waterfronts, a linear park along the island surrounded by retail outlets and services, in addition to distinct waterfront neighbourhoods, a mosque, school, and world-class spas. The Beach Club is the first project planned for completion by the first quarter of 2020, featuring a clubhouse that offers an assemblage of activities to be enjoyed by the whole family.

The press conference was also attended by partners, including al khaliji, Rixos Hotels, White Water, and Atkins. Sheikh Nasser led the conference in the presence of board members Jamal al-Kaabi and Hamad al-Kubaisi; Mohamed el-Garhy, chief technical officer; Hesham Sharaf, chief operating officer; and Jean Antonios, chief legal officer of Qetaifan Projects.
